Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"At the beginning of the session, we reviewed the student's Math section that he took yesterday. We discussed how factoring can increase speed in solving quadratics and how to solve complicated probability questions. He then took several more timed practice sections that we will review tomorrow."
"I had my first session with Student 1 and Student 2. We covered the layout of the test as well as how it is scored. Both students wrote an essay. Student 1's essay was quite solid. I would recommend she integrate the plot with explanations to strengthen her argument. Student 2's essay was also solid. Both students write in a clear, concise, and simple style."
"I reviewed the general test format with the student and we discussed general test taking and guessing strategies for the English and math sections. We worked practice problems for two reading passages and several math practice questions, stopping for content review on any concepts he had questions about. We covered exponent rules, radical operations, coordinate geometry, slope intercept form, intercepts, order of operations, foiling, factoring, and functions. I will email him a link of math practice problems to work between our meetings to reinforce these concepts."
