Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"She had some difficulty with parametric and polar equations, so we worked through her homework, and I explained in a bit more detail what was going on and how to solve each problem."
"Polynomials (quadratic, cubic, and higher degrees). We went over how to graph them, how to find the vertex, and how to maximize or minimize word problems involving quadratic functions."
"During our session, the student and I went over polynomial and ration functions (finding the VAs, HA/OAs, roots, y-int, and x-int). We also worked on factoring by grouping and by calculator."
"We continued working on trigonometric functions. The student has a lot of material to review, learn, and catch up on. We worked through several problems that she needs to resubmit. We went over the unit circle again, graphing and how to simplify expressions using identities. She will work through more of this herself and come with specific questions next time if she has them."
"The student had done a great job on his test last week. We looked ahead at the new sections and reviewed some matrix algebra and its relation to systems of equations. We will continue this again next week."
"Today we completed the most difficult problems from practice test 5, including probability questions, polynomial equations, finding minima and maxima and ranges of a function on a given limited domain, and geometry. We developed several strategies in these topics which will speed up problem solving. The student is gaining the needed speed and accuracy for the test, and is constantly improving."
