Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"*Reviewed freezing point depression and boiling point elevation. *Student still has some difficultly finding molality and converting unites; grams to moles, etc. *Student is positive and beginning to show improvement in strategic approach to problems. Very willing to take instruction. *We discussed best way to tackle and set up problems. Write equation first and find necessary data to use. *Student was instructed to review notes given to him about solutions and thermochemistry."
"Went over PPT_MolarMass, PPT_MolarMassConversion, PPT_AvogadrosConversion, PPT_PercentComp; Worked on some problems together on WS_MolarMass, WS_MolarMassConversion, WS_Mole#2, WS_PercentComp and assigned the rest to work on for the next session."
"The student has a test coming up, so we went over all the material she has covered thus far (empirical/molecular formulas, gram-mole-atom conversions, molarity, percent composition). She seemed to be getting the material but struggled slightly with conversions because there are so many steps. However, once I showed her how to do it, she seemed to understand it and was very eager to learn the material. Next time we will cover whatever else she needs help with."
