Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Quiz on chapter 10: interest groups. We finished reviewing chapter 11: congress, then reviewed and discussed the chapter. The student's knowledge of chapter 10 was good, aside from a couple terms he missed, which he now has the opportunity to review. Next week we will have a quiz over chapter 11 and review chapter 12, putting him in a good position to do well on the next test without cramming; certainly an improvement over last time."
"In this session, the student and I finished the last module for her U.S. government class. It focused on the American economic system, as well as the difference between capitalism, socialism, and communism. The best way for her to understand the definitions was to understand the differences between the different economic modules. Although the student did not particularly enjoy U.S. government as a topic, she has a much better understanding of how our government works."
"Today, the student completed two US Government textbook homework assignments, and then we went on to study for his upcoming English vocabulary test. We created note cards and then studied from them. We concluded the session by reviewing his English research paper, and I corrected a few errors."
