Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I worked on mostly pronoun work today (direct object pronouns) and did a little bit of audible work. I will send some more references for her to use for pronouns and for pronunciation. Even though it has only been the two sessions, I can see that she is learning and is picking it up. I'm encouraged that she finds these lessons helpful and hope that she continues to work on her own as well."
"Another good session. The student has been able to practice her French during our meeting. She had a lot of input into the conversation, which shows that she feels comfortable expressing her ideas in French. We discussed her trips and mine, and also talked about other French speaking cultures. The session was nice, and provided her another great occasion to keep her French sharp and current. We look forward to our next meeting."
"We covered how to form adverbs and their placement in sentences. Pronunciation was the biggest problem. Remember: CaReFuL. The uppercase consonants are the ones we pronounce at the ends of sentences. Consonants that are followed by vowels are always pronounced."
"Today, the student and I worked more on the pronominal verbs. We did some exercises from a worksheet. We also reviewed his new vocab, which was all about making plans with people, and the pronunciation for it. I gave him a good deal of homework to do since he has a quiz on this new material Tuesday."
"We practiced the various tenses and conjugations of the verbs voir, croire, recevoir, etc., while also working on the various negations that the student is starting on this coming week."
"The student did very well on this assignment. We covered the use of vocabulary and expressions in situations surrounding hotels and rooms. I corrected a few phrases using certain terms using the new vocab. We also spent several minutes using the vocab in conversation. She expressed herself well."
