Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I worked on a problem solution essay that was due the following day. He did not have an outline or a rough draft, but we were able to work with an essay had written in high school. When I left him at 9:00 on Tuesday, he had 1.5 pages of a 4-5 page paper."
"We spent more time on turning a "4" essay into a "5" and, hopefully, a "6". After covering some vocab again, like we are going to cover to at least some extent every day, we spent a while working on critical reading. We also touched on probability, the only math concept that the student seems to have issues with. "
"We continued to work on Greek mythology for his reading class. We read three myths, stopping frequently to discuss the story and to check for comprehension. He did a great job reading and asking questions."
"We did strictly algebra this session. Went over solving equations, and properties of x. Simple but necessary topics to cover. He really improved his algebra."
"The student and I continued with basic algebra. He seems to understand the basic concepts, and more importantly, is gaining confidence with math in general! He also worked on finishing his science project about cacti."
