The price of tutoring for students in La Mirada depends on various criteria, including what you want to study and how frequently you want to see your teacher. Similarly, if you are just looking for a few classes to help you study for a test such as the ACT, you may be able to acquire a more advantageous price per lesson if you maintain a steady weekly plan. Tutoring review by Wilfredo in La Mirada, CA
The student and I continued practicing problems today. We used problems from a long practice exam that he was given by his Algebra teacher, working our way from the easiest problems to the more difficult ones. I did this in order to isolate the steps he was having difficulty with. I focused more on the problems that required balancing equations since they are fundamental to Algebra and can help him establish a solid foundation of understanding. We started with simple addition/subtraction problems, then worked our way to problems that require multiplication/division, and then threw in variables and fractions. I wanted to show him that, throughout the spectrum of difficulty levels, the rules stay the same; if he stayed focused and organized he could easily solve the more difficult problems. He has definitely made progress since our last session. I notice he made more consistently correct decisions when it came to choosing between subtracting and dividing a number in order to cancel it out. This is great news since this is, I noticed, one of the most major problems he struggled with. I asked him to complete half of his practice exam and buy a scientific calculator by our next session on Wednesday.

We did a few practices, including factoring trinomials and dividing them as well. We also did practices where we plug an equation of either x or y into another equation and then solve for the ordered pairs. We then practiced changing ones into slope form in order to solve the initial equation.
