Prue Tutoring FAQ

Prue, OK, is a town with a population of about 500 people. The town is located in southern Osage County. Henry Prue owned the land of the original town site, and thus the town was named after him. The town was relocated after the construction of Lake Keystone.

The town is served by the Prue School District. Students residing in this district attend Prue High School. Expert online tutoring from Prue tutors could help you work towards success in your test prep and coursework. High School is a very trying time for students because a lot of emphasis is placed on academics. If you are looking for private online or in-home tutoring to potentially improve in class or pass that big exam, professional tutors in Prue are skilled in instruction and test prep for all levels. Oklahoma State University is ranked in the top 150 schools in the nation, making it an ideal choice for students. However, it may prove difficult for students to be admitted to the school unless their grades are high enough. Getting into a top school like this will be within your grasp with private tutoring in Prue, OK, as you study for your courses or test prep, with instruction either in-home or online.

While studying can be stressful, if you work some day trips into your study schedule you will be able to get through it with much less stress. Why not plan a visit to Keystone State Park, and spend a day on the river that runs through the area? The park is equipped with boat launches so you and your family will be able to get out on the water for a day of waterskiing and tubing. or, if you're looking for a more casual day, take out a boat for some fishing. If you don't have your own boat, but would still like to enjoy the water, Pier 51 Marina is located in the park and offers boat and equipment rental. The store also sells anything else you would need for a day on the water, such as food, fuel, and rafts. If you're not interested in spending time on the water, try some of the trails the wind throughout the park. They are perfect for bikers, joggers, and hikers alike. You can enjoy a safe workout in the park on these trails.

With breaks worked into your study time, there will be fewer reasons to be stressed while you study. You will find that personal tutoring in Prue, OK, might help you exceed your expectations.

We continued with systems of equations. The student will start formally learning the algebraic methods this week. We went through a homework assignment that she had. Her improvement in understanding the steps is visible. She needs to remember to always check her work. We also did a practice problem similar to what her class did for a warm-up on Tuesday.

The student and I worked on more geometry homework. She's understanding the "look to the book" concept more and she's using her flashcards to her benefit. We're still working on transferring concepts to different contexts (e.g. using a formula in an unfamiliar way). She did a good job today!

Tutoring review by Kelly in Prue, OK
This was our first tutoring session. We started by reviewing what the student has been covering in class. We worked on his math packet and reviewed sections that he had completed in class. The subjects we covered during this session included: speed and velocity, absolute value, integers, and basic mathematical equations. He understood the difference between speed and velocity very well and was successfully able to answer all questions related to this concept. With this understanding he was also able to master the concept of absolute value and could complete mathematical equations and order integers from least to greatest. We spent a good part of the session reviewing adding and subtracting positive and negative numbers. He understands this concept and could explain his notes to me about it. He struggled a little with deciding whether to add or subtract two integers with the same or different signs. We worked through practice problems and reviewed this concept at the end of the session. He told me he just learned this concept on Thursday, so it is still new to him. He was very responsive to my questions and could provide additional explanations when I asked. We will meet Mondays at 4:00 pm with the possibility of additional sessions if required for homework help or test preparation. Each session we will review his class notes and practice problems and work on concepts that he is struggling with. I plan to start the next session reviewing addition/subtraction of positive and negative integers to see how he has progressed with this concept in class during the week. We will then review any new concepts he has learned and work on more practice problems.

Tutoring review by Shanae in Prue, OK
The student and I went over her homework together, which included simple algebraic equations, word problems, ratios, and types of numbers. We also discussed specifically rational/ irrational numbers, square roots, and perfect squares. She is still enthusiastic but lacks confidence. I am going to work with her on strategies to check her work so that she is reassured it is correct. In time, I feel this will help build her confidence. She is going to continue to work on memorizing multiplication facts.
