"The student is making good progress in terms of content. We are working on pacing because he has more time than he budgets for and gets rushed at the end. He's doing really well though and should be proud of the progress he's making. He's a great kid!"
"The student is really progressing with the writing section! She has shown a great increase in mastering the grammatical constructions like subject-verb agreement, plural vs. singular, idioms, and adjective/adverb use and can recognize them often at first glance. She is continuing to practice passage-based reading as well to stay fresh, and will be writing a timed practice essay for next week."
"First Meeting- I met with the student and both of her parents to discuss where she stands currently in her Chemistry class and expectations of everyone. The student and I then spent some time getting to know each other and reviewing a test she had recently. We will spend the remainder of our sessions this academic term reviewing for her final two weeks from now."
"Did a brief overview of how the class was going, reviewed her current discussion questions, provided tips in addressing discussion questions, and provided feedback on how to structure home work assignments. Discussed some basics of accounting and got assessment of client needs."
"Very good session. We worked through a lot of difficult math problems in the student's new prep book. Topics we focused on: when to plug in, when to backsolve, right triangle-circle connections (inscribed in cubes, etc.), word problems, difficult probability problems (with plugging in numbers). The student and I also went over the crit reading strategy for his coming exam and I outlined the most helpful page in the prep book for him to study. We finished the session by reviewing about 15 difficult grammar questions. One of our best sessions so far."
"The student and I covered more algebra strategies, including hidden plug ins, plugging in the answers, and must be plugging in. I also asked him to review the past problem sets and continue his work online. I can see an improvement in his skills, but there is still a lot of work to do to get him in form for his exam. We will continue to work on that."
