Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today we reviewed "Helping Mom." She read at an increased pace of 59 words/min. Since she had no new books, we then covered her sight words. We first did a spelling test, reviewed the words she missed, then did another spelling test on the words that she missed."
"The student started session completing a reading comprehension worksheet to work on recall. The passage focused on words in the -it family. He struggled the first time he read it but improved on his second read. He answered the questions with 100% accuracy. Then we played a dice game that had him forming words in the -ell, -en, and -et. Then he read a story from school that he read very easily and with little support. We then read a high frequency book to work on sight words."
"We worked on lessons from the student's workbook. She completed fill in the blank exercises and copy the word exercises with minimal prompting. We then did some alphabet practice. Overall, the session went well. The student seems eager to improve her reading skills."
