"Solved problems using radius, circumference, or diameter. Reviewed definitions and how to apply to problems. Good job."
"We reviewed the last few chapters in preparation for the student's exam. I assigned her some additional problems to work on to help her study."
"The student continued to work on geometry problems, still involving areas and volumes. She then finished off a reading assignment for US History."
"It was good to meet this student! He just started a new geometry section. We went through his notes and the remaining practice problems. I reviewed rationalizing denominators with him briefly since it had been awhile since he'd done that. We did some of the trickier problems from the book, and he is feeling a lot more confident about them now. I showed him what's coming up in the next section: mostly review of the Pythagorean theorem, plus ways to use it to identify other types of triangles."
"We continued to do guided practice with segment and angle addition from last time as well as distance formula, midpoint formula, and supplementary/complementary angles. The student had a mini-review homework assignment to prepare for her quiz tomorrow. We also went back and worked on previous homework problems to check for understanding. She seems to be understanding it better and can start and finish problems fairly well without help. I suggested that she slow down when solving and take it step by step. She should also really pay attention to what is given in a problem and keep track of all the pieces to the problem so there is less confusion."
"I covered with the student knowing and applying the basic ratios of the 45-45-90 degree and the 30-60-90 degree triangles to find unknown lengths. I also reviewed his homework based on those concepts."
