"I enrolled in two classes under the CalTeach program where, for two quarters, I spent 1 day a week learning classroom teaching skills and then another day each week participating as a "mentor" in an actual school classroom (the first quarter was for mentoring in a 5th grade class and the second quarter was spent mentoring in a 7th grade algebra class).
