Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student is making a travel book for the summer, and we reviewed what we have learned so far. Vocabulary themes included: at the airport, at the rental car, at the hotel, at the restaurant."
"The session focused on Writing and the continuation of an assessment. We worked on an assignment for class for which I provided support. Working on this assignment also helped me further the assessment and design lessons based on it. We also analyzed another piece of writing he had already submitted and reviewed for mistakes. One of the concepts covered after analyzing the writing was the subjunctive. The student needs extra support on the subject, so we will be devoting part of the session time to this subject. Extra practice was left on the website."
"During our first session, I was quickly able to determine the student's strengths and weaknesses; she does a great job reading with proper intonation and pronunciation, she struggles predominantly with understanding the language being spoken to her. We reviewed how to conjugate regular '-ar', '-er', and '-ir' ending verbs, and she did a great job! We concluded with a reading exercise, reading the dialogue aloud, and analyzing the gender of the words based on contextual clues such as adjectives or articles that indicate the noun's gender and plurality."
