Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We started with reviewing previously learned vocabulary by me asking and the student answering questions. She recalled a lot of past vocabulary receptively. I then signed story 4 from the sign language learning site. She was able to get the first half of the story almost perfectly. The second half was a bit harder and we had to review directional verbs to assist in her understanding. I then gave her story 7 to sign. She tried her best, but it was hard as she did not know a lot of food vocabulary. We then focused on learning food vocab. We focused on that for the rest of the session and will continue more next week."

"Student E and Student M wanted to talk about a doctor's visit and the vocabulary they remembered from a previous session. They remembered all the words and for a while we talked about getting experience and what we have seen. They then read out their homework and we talked a bit about that. This was our last session. It was wonderful working with them. They are bright and delightful children."
"Student A: We practiced subjunctive use in situations where advice is given and how is different from infinitive and indicative. Additionally, we reviewed familiar and formal commands. Student B: We reviewed contents related to the current unit: technology, commands, reciprocal reflexives."
"In our last session, the student and I spoke about the strategies she will need to continue doing in order to improve her Spanish."
"Today we finished the alphabet, and reviewed all 30 days of the month. We started on simple facial features, which the student seems to like because she can relate to these things. We learned words for nose, mouth, teeth, face, ears, eyes, and hair today. We began learning simple phrases like "My name is...", and will continue with this next week!"
