Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Met with math instructor to discuss the student's performance. Worked out a plan for him for the next few weeks and saw the issues with his test performance."
"For this session, we went through the student's past test and the problems he had issues with. We also went through the hypotenuse altitude theorems and additional practice problems. The student understands the concept of the theorems. We will continue to practice on these."
"We reviewed Mean Value Theorem and did sample problems on finding areas confined by graphs and volumes revolving around a certain axis for the student's test on Chapter 7."
"Tonight, we practiced evaluating improper integrals with infinite limits. Although he was apprehensive about the concept at first, he quickly picked up on it, and we were able to finish the assignment rather quickly and smoothly."
"The student is making great progress. I really like how he likes figuring out problems without any help. He is very eager to get it right by himself which is good. He did a nice job today with related rates because he has a strong foundation in taking derivatives. Now we're just applying it to solve problems. I find myself needing to help less and less, which is good. That's called progress. Basic math skills are coming along as well, and there's much improvement."
"We covered the fundamentals of derivative calculus (product rule, chain rule, log and exponential functions)."
