Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Equations review, isolating variables. Scientific notation, conversion to decimals and fractions. Introduction to graphs."
"We went over the basic foundations of math, covering rounding of numbers, fractions/decimals/percents, long subtraction/multiplication/division."
"The student and I worked on a homework worksheet over clarifying polynomials by degree and term. After finishing the worksheet, we went over a few example problems from the notes."
"Today, the student and I continued working on unit rates. We did a warm-up activity, then the student completed five advanced algebra problems involving unit rates and problem-solving strategies. In order to efficiently solve these problems, I also taught her stoichiometry. I was very impressed with how quickly she caught on and tackled the problems at hand."
"We worked at solving radical equations and went over completing the square and quadratic formula. The students were very well behaved and paid close attention."
"The student has three packets she has been assigned to review for the final. The majority of them cover graphs, scatter plots, and quadratic equations. She has most of the concepts down. We were able to get most of two packets finished, but the things that were left were some of the harder problems, such as finding a quadratic equation from a graph. She is definitely capable of doing and understanding the work, she just has a bit of a problem with motivation. She promised she would work on the packets some more after she does some Italian homework. She will still need to attend the tutoring in the library and complete the assignments her teacher has given her in order to have a chance at improving her English grade."
