"The student and I went over vectors, which included the dot product and cross product. Using these concepts, we found vectors perpendicular and parallel to planes."
"The student and I worked on the distributive property, and she did some which she was working on for homework. She is fine on the basic materials."
"She said she got a 94% on her last test, about graphing circles. We then went over ellipses and hyperbolas, concerning graphing, vertices, foci, and asymptotes when applicable. We then went over her lab for chemistry, about bonding in crystal structures. She seems to be understanding the concepts well."
"Today was my first session with this student and we spent some time getting know each other. He told me a little bit about his interests. I gave him some decimal problems to solve, both addition and subtraction. In addition, I said different decimals aloud, and he jotted them down to practice his understand of how to read numbers with decimals. He seems to do a great job of thinking the problem through; when he was solving, I only mentioned to him once or twice if he was about to move on if there was something that needed to be fixed, but for the most part he went through and caught his errors and corrected them. Overall, this was a really good session, and I'm looking forward to next week!"
"I helped the student with his math homework, dealing with finding areas of slightly more complex shapes composed of triangles and quadrilaterals. He generally did a good job. We spent the remainder of our time reading."
"I worked with Student A on compacting fractions. We talked about different strategies and she did very well on fractions. I will continue working with her concerning multiplication tables and division. I was able to work with Student B and helped her with the 2-step math problems. We did dry erase models and used pictures to describe the problem. Working with the dry erase board interests her and we will also continue to practice multiplication tables."
