" That is why my experience working with kids in educational and youth sports settings is so valuable. Just as with sports, the fundamentals are critical for success but the student will quickly lose interest if the tutor does not keep the material interesting and yes, fun! Be disciplined but not too serious and take time to laugh but don’t get off track. This is the basis on which my tutoring philosophy is built. A bit about myself…I have been happily married for 15 years with one son in middle school and a second boy in elementary school. I have recently made a career change to enter the teaching profession." ...

" I don't believe there is such a thing as a difficult subject, I just believe that each student has strengths and weaknesses, and that it is best to focus on the strengths and use them to overcome the weaknesses. For example, some students struggle with word problems in math, but they enjoy drawing pictures. I like to teach students how to draw pictures to solve word problems. If you start with what you are good at and slowly work toward those things that you are not so good at, there's no limit to what you can learn."
