Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today was my first session with the student. She is planning to take the SAT for a second time. She is hoping to achieve a score of 1800. The majority of our time together was spent working out of the SAT prep book. The student expressed that she is primarily concerned about the math portion of the test so that is where we focused our time."
"We worked on graphing trigonometric functions. The session went great and we planned to meet on Wednesday."
"1 hour session: Student worked on a sample comparison essay I assigned and then we reviewed it and discussed ways to improve and strengthen her observations. 30 minutes: On my own time, I reviewed her 36 noted flashcards and two essays I assigned that she emailed to me."
"The student was working on a chemistry test review. The test reviewed covered equilibrium and Le Chatelier's Principle. The student had to set up and calculate various equilibrium products. He also had to determine the equilibrium shift based on different stresses that were presented. The student did a good job of understanding the theory and applying it. He should do well on his test."
"Session began by reviewing material from last session and discussing the test the student had just taken. Following that, we went over her class notes for the day and reviewed the parts and function of plant and animal cells."
"The student shows improvement when he uses his study tools. We made some good progress today. I continued to work with him on his study tools and we did practice exercises together."
