Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I worked on solving for roots of a function, graphing them, and finding critical information. We worked on a packet that was due for homework. She is doing very well and I have confidence she will do well on her test and quiz on this unit."
"The student and I worked on his chemistry review. We covered the simple things like naming to more difficult topics like atmospheric pressure effects on boiling point. We had a blast. I talked to him about orbitals in explaining molecular geometry."
"Today, the student and I went over her weekly math and some other math worksheet on finding multiples of numbers. She was confused with some of her math assignment at first but soon improved. I think she has some difficulty focusing and sitting down for an extended period of time so I know going over confusing problems is a difficult task for her but when I bring her attention back to the problem, she manages to focus herself for a period of time."
"Covered practice problems from Section 5.1-5.3 on polynomials, scientific notation/exponents, how to use the rules of polynomial addition, subtraction, multiplication and division to simplify and solve exponents."
"During this session we mainly reviewed for the student's final exams which were occurring in the next 2 days. First we reviewed circle and triangle geometry. Then we reviewed basic chemistry."
"The student and I started by talking about the US presidential race - and comparing American and German political party systems in German. She then gave a brief report about early Roman emperors, after which we continued to work on grammar. We touched a bit on the simple past tense (and switching between the simple and past perfect tenses) at the end."
