"The student did some of the assigned exercises while on vacation. During the session he worked on quadratic equations and solving for the roots by factoring, completing the square, and using the quadratic formula. Also problems on rationalizing the denominator and the discriminant."
"Helped the student complete her review for her US History test over Andrew Jackson's presidency. I helped her find answers in her textbook to review questions that she didn't know. She completed her review by the end of the session."
"The student and I worked on his test review, which covered the gas laws, solubility and basic acids/bases. He seems to understand the gas laws pretty well, but he struggles with the math sometimes. He needs to review the solubility curves and the concepts of acids/bases a little more."
"The student and I worked on polar graphs. We learned how to plot rho, as well as the degree. We converted polar points to rectangular points and vice versa. We also discussed magnetism as a concept in physics"
"The student and I studied for his geometry test the next day. We went over how to prove triangles are congruent, and by the end of the session he had a really good grasp on how to recognize congruent triangles and how to apply the congruence postulates in a proof format."
"Today we went over the student's paper on opportunity cost. She chose the topic of going to college, so we talked about explicit and implicit costs of going to college and found some figures. We also included some discussion on the evaluation of whether or not attending college makes sense depending on the career choice an individual may have."
