"In our last session before her winter break, the student and I mostly prepared for her upcoming science test. The focus was space exploration. She and I went over her last lesson on the space race and NASA. Following that, I had her make her study flashcards with definitions and gave her another quick quiz for understanding. She and I went over her flashcards. After she felt ready for her test, I gave her a pretest that I had prepared based on all the information in the chapter. She did very well on that pretest. She also informed me that she had a test on the book "My Brother Sam is Dead" in her language arts class. I asked her a couple of questions about the book to check her understanding. Lastly, I am very happy to report that she has raised her science grade from a failing grade to a C (75%)!!"
