"The student did really well today. Had some problems with time zones at first because she didn't understand each time zone was an hour apart and she didn't know what am and pm meant. Also worked on exponents and averages."
"The student's new lesson covered finding the area between two function curves. The basic underlying skill of the lesson, integrating a difference of two other functions, was not new to us, and he had no trouble actually calculating the integrals. Setting them up, however, was trickier, due to the unusual intervals involved in some of the problems. With thorough explanation, the student figured out how to get going and complete the problem set."
"SAT: reviewed reading sections. Added to the vocab list and went over passage-based reading questions. Ended with 45 minutes on the writing section multiple choice questions practicing all three types of questions."
"Very good session today. We went over most of a full math section of an ACT practice test and the student was able correctly answer many of the questions by herself and was often on the right track to answering some of the harder questions. It is clear to me that her mathematical skills have improved since our first meeting and if they continue to improve, she will be successful in achieving a good score on her future tests."
"Went over the aspects of sampling. The student had no trouble understanding and applying the material. We also went over his last quiz which did better than the average of the class. He had no problem with the mechanics and application, but could use some work improving his explanation of his answers."
