"Yesterday, the student and I worked on a packet full of different exercises for his upcoming Spanish final exam. I believe him to be adequately prepared for his test, but there are a couple of things that he can do to strengthen his ability to answer questions more quickly. The packet dealt a lot with the present progressive, future, preterite, and imperfect tenses. At the start of an exercise, when working with a new verb tense, he took some time to acclimate himself to the new verb structure. It will help him a lot if he focuses on fully knowing each verb tense structure, including the irregular verbs, and understanding the situations in which each one is used. I also recommend that he review his vocabulary sheets 2-3 times before the exam. He is a very focused student, and if he spends his time wisely, he will do well on this test."
"We worked on an upcoming oral assignment for her Spanish 2 class. The student was easy to work with and was eager to get started right away. We got a lot of work done. She wrote her entire script, and hopefully by the time I return on Sunday, she has practiced it enough to present for Monday."
"Prepared for speaking exam. Reviewed chapter 9 vocabulary. Overall grade improved by 3% due to good score on written exam. Very near goal of passing- needs to do well on final exam as it is worth 10% of the overall grade."
