Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I worked on a chapter review for chapter five, covering segments within a triangle, points of concurrency, triangle inequality theorem, hinge theorem, and hinge inverse."
"We focused on triangle geometry, quadrilaterals, angles, lines, area, perimeter, circles, and the applications of the aforementioned. He struggled with some of it, but as soon as I explained it to him, he seemed to genuinely understand it. His algebra skills are a little weak with respect to solving equations, but he should be able to become proficient with regular work and study. He paid attention, worked hard, and had a pretty good attitude."
"Review for midterm. various problems including congruence triangles, angles, segments, reflections, transformations, etc."
"Today's session covered a geometry review sheet in preparation for the final exam. We got through it without any issues."
"The student has his geometry final coming up on Sunday. I asked him to complete the practice final on his own. He only got one problem wrong. We then "re-set" the practice final, where it generates another practice with new numbers. He did quite well on it. He still had some trouble with angles of chords and with equations of circles, so I wrote additional practice problems for him to complete. I believe he is very ready for his final."
"This week, the student's class is refreshing their algebra knowledge in preparation for algebra II next year. The student and I discussed a few algebra topics including linear equations, exponents, radicals, and factoring to solve equations. By the end of the session, we completed most of the designated classwork for this week. He had absolutely no problems with these topics. We will review for his final next session which will cover seven chapters in his textbooks."
