Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student has a test on Wednesday that covers the topics of acceleration, velocity, and displacement. In final preparation for the test we reviewed these topics and the worksheets she had completed previously. We also did a few more practice problems. She did very well and seemed to be well prepared for her test. We also covered the topic of force equilibrium which is the main item on her other test scheduled for Friday. We did a few problems together and she seemed to understand the basics. I have sent her a worksheet to do for extra practice."
"We went over the study packet her teacher gave her. We extensively covered impulse, momentum, and conservation of energy. She seemed very quick to pick up everything we covered. The session seemed to fly by and was overall great. We will continue going over the study packet on Friday."
"We went over the student's new assignment on torque. He understood the concept of net torque and how it should be zero when there is no rotation, but he had questions about what forces to consider and how to define the distances for each. We spent a lot of time on two similar problems, and he seemed to have a much better understanding. We will continue to review the topic in the next session."
