"Today the student and I worked on his chemistry preparation for his chemistry midterm. The exam will be next Wednesday."
"Today, we started preparing the student for her upcoming Chemistry midterm by looking at a review she was asked to complete in class. She had told me that she had felt rushed through most of it when she had completed it, and that the teacher had given the answers to about fifty of the review questions, so we covered each question regardless of whether she had correctly answered it previously. For the most part, the student knew what the correct answers were, but was not always confident as to why they were correct, so I strove to provide verbal and visual examples for each concept. At the end, I had her answer a couple of questions that I constructed over naming compounds and drawing Lewis diagrams, which she completed correctly."
"The student and I continued working on homework which had to do with dimensional analysis. This homework also incorporated significant figures, density, and scientific notation. He was able to remember the methods from yesterday and apply them to do harder problems. He had not been exposed to significant figures yet, but once I explained the rules he was able to figure out the problems himself."
