Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I continued to review his take-home practice test to prepare for his upcoming midterm at the end of January. We went over each topic thoroughly. He can do most work on his own. I provided him with some useful test-taking tips, such as process of elimination. We will continue to work in the next coming weeks to prepare for the test."
"We continued midterm review with DNA trx, RNA trl, and protein syn. We reviewed the notes on each process, paying attention to vocabulary and the orientation/mvmt of various molecules. We then did 25 questions on these processes. We also covered cancer and viruses as they related to mutations and genetics. The student knows the material really well and has good critical thinking skills."
"Today we went over some older material from the first prelim that the student was confused about. We went through two major theories that had seemed overwhelming to the student because of the way in which they were presented in the book. However, after going through each of the theories and focusing on key concepts, the student expressed that it was much clearer to him and less overwhelming."
