Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I reviewed a recent quiz from her physics class as well as some additional multiple choice questions that her mother had to give her additional resources to study. We also talked through two additional problems in circular motion that may have been from a current homework assignment."
"The student and I reviewed transcription, translation and protein localization. She did well with transcription but had more difficulty with translational elongation and protein localization. I showed her a science video to help explain translational elongation and we went over it several times until she understood it clearly. To help her understand protein localization I highlighted similarities between nuclear import, transmembrane localization and peroxisomal localization. This helped her understand and remember these topics."
"Today, the student finished what was left of his project for chemistry, including ionization energy and periodic trends of chapter 6. He was able to understand most of the trends on his own, and next we'll hopefully we'll solidify this. When he finished the project, we went back to the workbook, which was a review of balancing and predicting equations to predicting masses and formulas for missing parts of an equation. By next week, we should be able to do an overall review and see if he had any trouble with what we've done so far."
