Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
1) The student had exercises for HW to do in her Spanish book. We had to cover
Regular verb tenses and the Subjunctive as well.
2) I reviewed the Subjunctive verb tense with the student. I gave her some examples
to complete on the mini whiteboard. She answered all of these sentences
correctly with no trouble whatsoever. She truly understands the Subjunctive.
3) Next, we did an intense review of different tenses for Regular verbs. I showed
her the verb endings for the Preterite, Imperfect, Progressive and Subjunctive.
We did Unidad 4 (Chap 4) Activity 1, pg. 262 in her book.
4) We did Subjunctive sentences in Activity 2 and 11, pg. 256. These sentences
explained on where to buy items. She had no problems in completing these.
5) We reviewed vocabulary for this Chapter on pg. 254. I recited the words and
had to say them plus give me the meanings. I used a few in sentences so she
would know how to use them in complete sentences. She did a fantastic job!
The student is much more confident with her work and understands all the material I
explain to her. She says she is happy because when the teacher asks questions
in class, she is able to raise her hand and give the right answers. She couldn't do
that before. I am proud of her progress and have seen an overall improvement."
