Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Review packet on two polynomial equations in a fraction. Found horizontal and vertical asymptotes, found domain of the function, found end and intermediate behavior."
"I have started to shift the focus of our sessions to the final, which means reviewing cumulative subjects. I've asked the student to try and find old worksheets and syllabus so that we can comprehensively go over his semester."
"Yesterday we reviewed fractions and how to solve algebraic equations. Next time we will continue to go over these topics."
"Today, we reviewed the student's worksheet on simplifying radicals, expressions, complex conjugates, factoring, and finding the zeroes of a function. The student was a quick study on the material and did well!"
"We covered systems using graphs, systems using substitutions, and systems using elimination. The student had the most trouble with systems using substitutions but was able to understand the concept. She may want a little extra help with understanding how variables are multiplied/divided across equations (i.e. simplifying 2x+2y=4 into x+y=2). Many strategies were discussed, including how to simplify equations. The student picked up on concepts quickly and was able to do most of the practice on her own."
"The student and I focused on his science test next week. We ran through the packet of material that they covered this year twice. I then quizzed him on each of the concepts for the remainder of our time."
