"During this session the student completed an online quiz and received a 70%. The previous attempt received a 20%. Obviously a great improvement."
"Last night we reviewed the Preterite, Imperfect, and Present Tenses. We practiced using some of the new vocabulary. The students knew the conjugations pretty well. Both seemed to understand the material well."
"The student and I worked on revision of definite and indefinite articles, and the verb leer. We started to study the differences between ser and estar, and the conjugation of the verb ser in present tense. We covered vocabulary to describe a person."
"Today, we were able to cover a lot of Spanish 1 material. We spent a lot of time on tu/ud (informal vs. formal), ellos/ellas (they), and articles of speech. Then I quizzed him on basic Spanish 1 verbs. He promised me he would memorize the meanings of 20 verbs in the -AR category and all of the -IR and -ER verbs from a Spanish by next session. By the end of the session, he could translate sentences I was making up (English-->Spanish) without a problem."
"The student read books to me about police, bus drivers, the water cycle and "it's raining cats and frogs." He did very well with the reading and only struggled with a few hard words. Then we practiced some basic phrases."
