Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today, we covered solving quadratic equations using transformations, finding domains of logs, graphing logs, finding inverse functions, f(g(x)), and half life."
"We went through the study guide. The topics were mainly on polar coordinates, surface under curve, trigonometric integration, and Taylor/Mac Lauren series."
"We started with a Science worksheet on potential energy. The student seemed to understand this one better - she had a good grasp of the equations and how to set up the problems. Next, we worked a couple of factoring problems to get ready for her Algebra quiz tomorrow. She's gotten better since last time, and she said her teacher started showing them the easier way that I showed her last time. So she was ahead of the curve. We spent the rest of the time studying for her South Asia map quiz, which is also tomorrow."
"Today the student and I reviewed before her second midterm. We talked about standard error and sampling distributions, we practiced finding z scores based on percentiles or confidence intervals, and we talked about the definition of a confidence interval. She has all the tools to succeed on her test, and I think she will do a great job tomorrow!"
"This was our final session and the student has been a delight to work with. We went over her final take home questions and discussed two burning questions she had as she went back over her notes. She is an extremely hard worker, a quick learner, and someone who will make an exceptional nurse in the future."
"Once again, the speed and ease at which the student picked up information was very impressive. We covered hypothesis testing and cumulative distribution of z and t statistics very quickly. After our next session, I'll essentially have taught her an entire course in 4.5 hours, which is bizarrely impressive on her part."
