Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today, the student and I worked to get an idea of where he can improve in Spanish. We spent a lot of our time discussing reading comprehension, and I went over several strategies to improve his scores in this area. We also spent some time reviewing vocabulary and study skills for vocabulary tests--for our next session, he is going to try to get a copy of his last test so that we can go over it together."
"The student has a sizable midterm take home that we started working on, involving ten sets of three sentences each, describing a major life event. Twenty preterite verbs need to be used, as well as 5 direct object pronouns. The translation remains his biggest challenge, and also mixing up c's and s's when writing the sentences out. We will continue to address these issues in future sessions."
"In our session, we reviewed the student's last test in the course. He was pleased with his progress in the course, surpassing his target grade for the test. More specifically, we covered the vocabulary words he switched on the exam, as well as some areas of difficulty regarding conjugation and grammar. We also began to discuss an outline for a short story he must write for class and which vocabulary terms to use for that."
