Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Reviewed partial fraction decomposition and began integration by parts. Discussed which approach is more appropriate in situations. The student did a great job today and he definitely has a much better grasp on the material."
"I introduced to the student the concept of kinetics (activation complex) as well as some of the factors that play a role in the speed at which a reaction occurs (surface area, temperature, concentration, etc.) In addition, I taught him about L'Chatelier's Principle. He seemed to understand both kinetics and equilibrium (with regards to L'Chatelier's Principle) very well."
"We read two short stories with questions. Then we worked on math facts by using flash cards. Finally we played with the math dice. The student did a good job paying attention."
"Corrected final review. Contrasted prospective and retrospective, observational and experimental, quantitative and categorical. Identified the parts of the normal distribution. Found mean and variance of empirical sequences using hand calculator program. Discussed the sources of test bias and how to mitigate them. Estimated linear regression parameters using correlation analysis."
"This session went really well. The student is very dedicated to her studies and I admire how diligent she is to pass this class. She has an exam on Wednesday and has been studying on a daily basis. She seems prepared. She made a study sheet as I advised, and has been memorizing the content. We looked at certain problems the student found troublesome and were able to solve them. Overall, this session went really well."
"We practiced conversation and used this to learn new words and work on word order. I will send the student a handout explaining Adjective endings. Homework is to find the adjective endings for sentences in the exercise (handout)"
