Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Session Thirteen Tutoring Review During the student's thirteenth session we focused on Tutoring Goal(s) 1, 3, 5, and 6, which involved problem solving, reinforcing studying algebra, developing problem solving techniques, building confidence, and reviewing her homework assignments. Below is a synopsis of the topics we reviewed: We reviewed for her upcoming quiz in algebra. We practiced how to solve multivariable equations in systems from word problems. Homework and our Plan for Session XIV: Our next session is scheduled for Wednesday at 7:30pm. I asked her to review her homework for tonight and write out any areas that she still may feel unsure or confused about. I asked her to take the time to review the chapters in her book along with her lecture notes. I asked her to review the textbook chapters covering the material we had worked on up until this point as an extra review for her quiz. Wednesday we will have a brief overview of any concepts that she may not understand from her quiz and homework, and then we will focus on new problems from any assigned homework."

"The student started working exponential functions, in particular how to graph exponential functions. He worked on homework problems that involved graphing a functions by first compiling a table of values to plot on a graph. He worked with negative exponents as well as exponential functions with an integer and a fractional base. When he concluded the homework worksheet, we worked on several extra problems from the text book and briefly discussed logarithmic functions."
