"The student and I went over solving logarithmic functions, essentially going from exponential form to logarithmic form and vice versa. He understood the material very well and is confident in the subject matter."
"The student has a test coming up on Wednesday so we worked on completing a test review out of her textbook. The majority of the problems were finding expressions to represent the data in an input output table. She had a hard time seeing the pattern of some problems but seemed to understand the concept."
"The student and I covered the following topics from her homework, including but not limited to: powers and exponents, writing repeated multiplication in exponent form and vice versa, positive and negative powers of 10, and word problems associated with volume. The student had already completed her homework, and most of her problems she did correctly. She was very cooperative throughout the whole session."
"Today, the student and I covered topics for his quiz that he missed last week. Additionally, we reviewed his homework assignment in preparation for a quiz this Friday. He struggled to understand the wording of the instructions for the first set of problems for his homework, but we worked through how to solve them for both interpretations so he can check with his teacher and then finish them. We moved on to complex roots and polynomial long division and he was confident on those topics. We will meet next Tuesday for our next session."
"Today we had a general review, from analyzing graphs to solving simple step equations, proportional relationships and simple and compound interest. He did great in his answers, but he still needs to look beyond the paragraph to understand some problems, so we're still going to be working that area in order to improve his grades"
"Today we covered the last few sections that are going to be part of the student's exam and did some final reviews of what we have been doing the past few days. The majority of our work today was on sequences and series. Also we worked on determining the convergence of series."
