Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I were able to discuss the last of her labs (11 finished!). Additionally, we worked through molecular, electronic and Lewis geometry."
"We reviewed the conceptual approach to the scientific method; matter and its transformation into various states energy; and matter's different sources, efficiency, and impacts to the environment."
"The student and I continued reviewing thermochemistry. We went over a variety of problems focusing on Hess's law. He is prepared for his test next week"
"We worked primarily on kinematics and vector addition. The student has a test coming up the following Wednesday. He left the session with assignments that he must complete before his next exam. He has a great grasp of the material and just needs additional practice."
"The student just took a test last week and scored an 86% on stoichiometry. Today we continued where we left off last week, reviewing her homework problems covering specific heat and calculating variables in the equation when given the other variables such as temperature change, heat energy change, or the specific heat constant. She was able to work through all of her homework problems on her own and understands the application of the equation well. I then helped her with a few of her lab questions on calorimetry."
"Today's session was focused primarily on practice problems. We worked on momentum and conservation of energy. The student did very well and was able to approach these problems in a logical manner. He still needs more practice in analyzing the more complicated problems; however, his problem solving skills are definitely improving. Our next session will be focused on rotation."
