Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Continued with stoichiometry, focusing on limiting reactions. Assigned work on pH and titration reactions. The student is doing better."
"We reviewed the practice problems the teacher provided and the student tried. After finishing this, we went over angled forces and circular motion."
"We covered thermo and discussed other concepts like entropy. The student showed a great understanding and was ready for her test."
"We reviewed balancing equations and limiting reagents. We then spent most of the session covering the orbital and energy level information. The student did pretty well with determining the electron configuration, but she needs a review of some of the terminology and what the numbers mean conceptually. We will go over this again during our next session."
"The student has a quiz and a test this week. He received a review packet to complete. We began the session by reviewing his notes and vocabulary. Then we worked through the packet. We applied test taking strategies - annotating the question, rewriting the measurements with their units to ensure they match, and breaking the problem down into smaller parts - and these seem to help."
"The student and I reviewed electron orbitals, ordering, and how to write expanded, abbreviated, and orbital notation, as well as exceptions and respective Bohr Model configurations (including ion notation). We began discussing Lewis structures as well. She is doing very well and will send me her HW worksheets to look over when she has completed them."
