Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Concrete Slab sizing & reinforcing; reinforcement ratio; depth; Maximum moment; Tributary areas for joists and girders; beam moment diagram; sizing reinforcing; column design; column loads."
"We went over the rest of her study guide while reviewing old material. I think she is going to perform very well on her exam. Great session!"
"Reviewed the topics covered recently in the Computer Architecture class -- mainly parallel computation and multiprocessors."
"We went over the subject that the student has had the most trouble with, Factor Label Method. It seems as though the first time the teacher taught this concept, it was not clear to him. Once we went over a couple of examples with the method, he demonstrated a good understanding of how to use it. I do not think he will struggle with this in the future. He told me that all of the other concepts he is currently learning in chemistry are not giving him trouble, and I hope to go over these in the next session."
"The student and I had an hour long session today reviewing the chapter's material before his test tomorrow. We covered everything from analyzing free body diagrams using the parallelogram method, to setting up Newton's second law equations and using Newton's three laws to understand situations conceptually. We went over three free response problems that he will be seeing tomorrow on his test, but with different numbers. He showed a solid understanding of each problem, and I think he will do fine on tomorrow's examination."
"The student received a 100 on her first exam!! We went over new material: springs, kinetic energy, potential energy, work, and conservation of energy. She isn't as familiar with the material from high school, and one of the work-kinetic energy theorem problems was tricky, so we will look at more examples next time."
