Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"This session was dedicated to World History. We did some assignments covering the life and significance of Sun Yat-sen, Ataturk, and Gandhi. We also started an exercise covering The Holocaust."
"Finished working on last assignment on simulating inventory management, simple and multiple regression."
"Discussed absolute versus conditional convergence of alternating series. Continued reviewing convergence tests for strictly positive series. Reviewed related rates."
"Today we covered classifying ratios on a more in depth basis, using ratios to create proportions, converting one type of ratio to another (specifically unit ratios), and converting units within the metric system. The student knows how to convert units in the metric system, and I encouraged her to memorize the order of the units to ensure accuracy when converting them."
"The student has a test coming up on ratios, rates, and fractions. The student was able to correctly explain the difference between fractions and ratios and the difference between ratios and rates. We completed practice problems with only simple mistakes in the arithmetic. Overall, he seems comfortable with the material."
"We covered concepts for the student's statistics midterm. We reviewed confidence intervals, methods of sampling, z-scores, and types of variables. The student is motivated to perform well in her course and midterm on Thursday. Once the concepts were explained, the student felt comfortable enough to solve several practice problems."
