Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We went over the questions the student asked for help on for his homework to prepare for his test this week. He has a good grasp on what he needs to do to solve a problem, he just needs to work on the steps he needs to take to get there."
"The student and I reviewed limits, continuity, and slope today; Overall, she seemed to remember most of the processes, only really needing help with a few problems. She should be in good shape for the next test."
"The student and I covered some of his homework problems on velocity and position functions and their relationship as well as understanding and evaluating limits. We also worked on refreshing him on Algebra concepts like factoring that will be useful later on for derivatives and integrals. The student seems to have a good handle on the Calculus concepts and just needs affirmation so he knows that his process is correct."
"Calculus: Covered Chapter 1:Limits and their Properties; Reviewed Quiz B, Covered Sect. 1.2: Finding Limits Graphically and Numerically; Did p. 56 #25, 26 from Sect. 1.2; Covered Sect. 1.4: Continuity and One-Sided Limits. Statistics: Covered Chapter 4: Displaying Quantitative Data."
"Today we reviewed her notes and some practice problems that she has had trouble with so far. She has her first test next week. She seemed to mainly struggle with figuring out how to start a problem, but she's picking things up very quickly. We're going to meet again before her test next week."
"The student and I practiced definite integral word problems. I showed him an example of a basic fluid mechanics problem that uses implicit differentiation and definite integrals, putting together these two seemingly disparate calculus concepts. We then briefly explored how to use definite integrals to solve kinematics problems."
