Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We covered basic concepts including and not limited to lines, rays, planes, midpoints, distances, and solving for angles. Student struggled minimally with naming rays as opposed to line segments. He was able to clearly distinguish at the end of the session. The student's homework is to study for the upcoming exam."
"The student has a review packet for her exam. We completed most of it the last tutoring session. She has a test on some of it this coming week. We finished the whole packet, and then we reviewed the problems we had done during the last session. I think she is ready for her test and her exam. I will call her mother this week to make arrangements for the next session."
"- We began her exam review packet. - We focused on angle bisectors and proving congruency, as well as transformations. - The student struggled most with reflections. - She will continue her exam review packet and go over it this week in class."
"The student had completed much of what remained in her review packet. We went over what she did and I felt confident that she knew the material well. We started to work on trigonometry problems together. Once we solved several problems, she seemed to have a good grasp on it and I suggested that she complete the rest of the packet for next week. It was a great session."
"The student and I met from 5:30 - 7:00. We worked problems from his book on ratios and proportions with a couple of word problems. He was a little rusty from the winter break. In addition to working the problems, we worked on speed and visualization."
"We started by reviewing the student's homework. The topic today was similar polygons. She understands the concept well and applies it to problems easily. We then moved on to working on solving proportion and ratio problems. She needs a bit more practice with factoring polynomials and dual results. We will continue to work on this next session."
