Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I reviewed her homework and review sheet for her examination on Friday. She asked to review determining whether functions were perpendicular or parallel to the given functions."
"TOPICS: Inverse Functions, Variations SUMMARY: We reviewed concepts from both sections and critiqued example problems that the student did during the session."
"We reviewed different forms for linear equations and how to move between them while preparing the student for his quiz."
"The student has a math test tomorrow on the first couple of sections of her geometry sections. We reviewed all of the vocabulary that she will need to know for the quiz to ensure that she knows them all and spends the majority of the time on calculating the triangle information. We reviewed the strategy that she should take when looking for unknown angle measurements of triangles."
"We continued to review for the student's final. We went over about 23 more problems in the review packet. We were able to touch on a lot of different topics in preparation for his end of course exam and his final. He is doing well this semester, and I hope to carry that momentum forward."
"The student said that he had been reviewing for his final on his own and it had not been going as well as he had hoped. We went over Pascal's triangle. We also went over the graph of 1/x and how to apply translations/transformations. We also did that for the basic logarithmic function graph. We went over if functions are odd, even, or neither. He had some trouble with this area; so we went through the specific definitions for each type of function, and the test for each. We finished our session by doing problems with holes, vertical asymptotes, and horizontal asymptotes."
