Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today the student worked challenge problems from his book, including combustion reactions, mass percentages, net ionic equations, and acid-base reactions. We worked the most with combustion reactions and net ionic equations."
"We mainly reviewed thermo-chemistry during this session. The student remembered some of the basic concepts about entropy and enthalpy. We reviewed other info such as Gibbs free energy, equilibrium constant or laws of thermodynamics. This is a very complicated chapter so we definitely need more time to review it. We covered enthalpy, entropy and free energy today and student did plenty of practice questions. We will continue on thermodynamics next time. I will also email her with some homework questions to practice."
"The student and I continued to review for her end-of-semester exam in Chemistry. We reviewed Chapter 2: States and Properties of Matter, Chapter 4: The Structure of Atoms, and did a little more practice with calculating molar masses and volumes just to ensure she had retained the concepts. The student was answering the majority of the book practice problems we did together correctly, and seems well-prepared for her upcoming test."
