"We started with vocabulary. Both students had studied their vocabulary words throughout the week, and I quizzed them on the words. They had retained the word meanings well. We worked on math next. For both of them, the most difficult problems are those that require sheer logic without an equation or a system they learned in class. I am encouraging them to visualize the logic problems or plug in numbers to find a pattern, and we will continue to work on these types of problems so they become more familiar to them. Finally, we worked on the essay portion. They seemed familiar with timed essays for AP tests, and they did well with brainstorming specific details to support one side of the issue and forming a more nuanced thesis than a mere reiteration of the prompt. I helped them pre-write one essay and told them to write the essay in 20 minutes for homework."
"Worked with the student on fixing his mistakes for all 4 sections of a practice test. He should be more familiar and ready for the upcoming test."
"Reading practice. We worked against a time limit again, and it was a little difficult on the reading section. We will continue to practice and go over tips to improve that time."
