"The student has a large research assignment due soon. It involves answering specific questions from her teacher and a slide presentation. The student had already chosen her research topic: the heliocentric system by Copernicus. I helped her complete a first draft of the answers to the questions on the sheet and completed about 2/3 of her slide presentation (incl. photographs and text). The student is very smart and I'm confident she can finish the project on time."
"- We covered Ch 17 - The student seems to doing okay, very good home work scores and good quiz scores - No extra stuff"
"Completed 2 homework assignments & made an action plan for completing other assignments and prepping for next week's test."
"Today, we worked on some practice problems for electrical circuits. The student was able to apply Ohm's Law to calculate the voltage, current, and resistance in the circuit problems. We also worked on some more problems in electric fields and electrostatic force. He understood how to solve the majority of the problems."
"The student and I did a little bit of work assigning oxidation states in redox reactions. This was mostly review for her, and she did well. We also worked on precalculus topics. I showed her methods for solving systems of three or more variables, both by hand and with use of rref() function in the calculator."
"We went over sound wave resonances in open and closed-end tubes. There was a lot of emphasis on to solidifying how to calculate the fundamental wavelength for each case. From there, the frequency could be determined. The homework also covered resonances. We did a lot of repetition to drive the correct methodologies home. He was getting it better by the end."
