Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We covered a diverse number of topics today, from convergence to related rates and abstract thinking about derivatives. He has a good command of most of the material, especially today, but it is not being reflected in his grades. We will take steps to work on this."
"The student completed 11 Math lessons. The lessons involved multiplying fractions, dividing fractions, ratios, and rates. She did well with the concepts covered. She was able to match models with the equivalent fraction. She was also able to generate equivalent fractions by dividing or multiplying the numerator and denominator by the same factor. She understood that order was vital when setting up proper ratios or rates in the word problems. She will practice by completing more lessons and homework. She was excited about the content. It was a very productive session."
"We worked on going over trigonometry. We got through a variety of topics from going between degrees and radians to understanding the way sine and cosine looked. We also went over standard sine equations including the factors used to translate it."
"Today we focused on vectors and using vectors to solve problems. We also worked on vector addition and dot products. So far the student is doing very well on this section and has been able to complete the majority of the problems with little trouble. He definitely seems confident with this topic."
"During this session we went over algebra/ trig and a little bit of chemistry. In algebra/ trig, we went over questions on sin, cos, and tan; finding angles algebraically. In chemistry we started to talk about kinetics and equilibrium. Overall this session went well."
"The student made another 100! This time it was on a quiz over all the graphs. He hadn't been feeling too good about them, but then he aced the quiz! Today we worked on solving polynomial and quadratic equations. The polynomials came natural to him, but the quadratics pushed his limits a bit. He still did great and understands how to check his work to keep up the good grades!"
