Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We went over Sound and Simple Harmonic Motion today. Specifically, we solved problems for single terminated and double terminated waves on a string and in a tube of air. The student asked for a little help identifying where the tension force was, and the formulas for the frequencies of resonance."
"During this session we went over Boyle's, Charles', Gay Lussac, combined gas laws, pv=nRT, finding density, finding molar mass, finding mass, vapor pressure, Dalton, Graham, and kinetic molecular theory. Overall this session went well."
"Good session, best so far. The student has been getting high scores on the last set of quizzes and tests."
"We covered titrations and thermodynamics with conceptual and mathematical problems. The student seemed well prepared and ready for his exam. I gave him several example problems to calculate and conceptual questions to answer, and then we went over his practice exam. He will take the practice exam on his own to ensure he uses the equations accurately. If I had to score him on all the questions I gave tonight, I'd say he got 80% right. I truly think he will do well on his exam."
"The student and I worked on electrochemistry problems. We worked on some of the more advanced electrochemistry concepts, such as calculating k, dG, and equations involving electrolysis of metals."
"We worked on problems that involve mass spectrometers, calculating radius, and period of rotations of charged particles in magnetic field. We reviewed right hand rule and applied it to find direction of forces. We also started reviewing previous chapters."
