Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student has a test tomorrow. It is on her sections 8-4 through 8-6. She had a review packet, which we went through. The topics were multiplication, division, and solving equations of fractions."
"Today, we worked through the review for her algebra 2 final exam. Most of the session was spent reviewing conics."
"We went over graphing tan function. We reviewed graphing sin and cos functions along with transformations, and we then went over unit circle practice."
"This was my first meeting with the student and she seems very self directed and already pretty good at the math she's working on - really seems to just need more of a task master than someone to explain the topics! She's got a lot of personality and is very quick. We worked on congruent and similar shapes today and she seemed to have a very firm grasp of the work."
"The student and I prepared for a test he was taking the next day on theoretical and experimental probability. We reviewed several worksheets that he already had for review."
"We simplified radicals. We did several problems of graphing radicals and identifying domain and range of equations involving radicals. The student seemed to grasp simplification of radicals, but she still had some difficulty with identifying the domain and range. We created a step by step method for both types of problems."
